Geography |
On private property behind a yacht harbour called Jachthaven WSV
Ploegensluis. The road is Jaagpad, and the place De Kwakel. You can also
spot the marker from the other side of the Amstel-Drecht canal, but you need
to know where to look. |
Procedures |
This beacon is used to mark a specific place on the ILS
approach to runway 36R, so that the pilot can cross-check the altitude
and can start a stop watch to time the distance to the decision point
for a missed approach. |
Remarks |
On February 19, 2004, this marker beacon was decommissioned
because the ILS for runway 36R has been equipped with a DME transponder. |
