On one of the tennis courts of tennis club Keerweide in
Geleen, 4 nm from the threshold of runway 22. Road name
Riddervosstraat, a rather narrow passage that still is accessible
by car leads to less than 15 meters from the beacon, which is behind a
hedge. |
| Procedures |
This beacon is used to mark a specific place on the ILS
approach to runway 22, so that the pilot can cross-check the altitude
and can start a stop watch to time the distance to the decision point
for a missed approach. |
| Remarks |
In November 27, 2003, this marker beacon was decommissioned as
the ILS approach to Beek runway 22 had been equipped with a DME transponder
on the glideslope antenna. |
