Picture taken May 24, 2001 The yard belongs to a Waterschap. This governmental organisation has nothing to do with air traffic or beacons, but it likely had a convenient lot available. Haarlemmermeer is the name of the polder that also contains Amsterdam Schiphol Airport itself.
Picture taken May 24, 2001 From the other bank of the canal you also have a good view. Access to the bridge is closed from this side. You can see that the yard can be used for landing/launching boats, or to (un)load them.
