Closeup of Haamstede VOR. The large white cilinder is the actual VOR antenna, the smaller antenna to the left is the remote monitoring antenna which actually stands about 15 meters behind the beacon. There is a single cable running up the pole that disappears into the rounded rectangular cap. Notice that the beacon appears to stand free in the fields, with no fence. This is not the case; on the photographer's side there is a low wooden fence, on the opposite side a ditch.
